Bayside Chamber Orchestra’s first concert for the year is on Sunday 20 March at 6.00pm at St Leonards Church 2 Wolseley Grove Brighton.
The delightful and varied program features Will Hardy playing Vivaldi’s Recorder Concerto in C, the gorgeous Ravel Pavane pour une infante defunte, a piece for winds by French composer D’Indy and a new work – The Crossing – by local composer and violinist Andrea Keeble.
Tickets are $20 and $15 concession available through Trybooking or at the door. Refreshments are included.
A little bit of background on “The Crossing” (yes, it is the same piece that opens the “Teeter” CD) – It was originally written for orchestra about 10 years ago and in the meantime it has been performed many times as a String Quartet.  So it has been great to arrange it for the wonderful Bayside Chamber Orchestra and to hear it as it was intended.  Hmm, some things take a long time.. Or 10 years isn’t really that long, depends on how you look at it! 🙂  Anyway, I hope you can come along and hear it!  A very special concert.
