Ad Hoc String Quartet performs new compositions composed by the third year composition students of Melbourne Polytechnic for String Quartet and soloists.

Soloists include –
Deborah Kayser, Alice Bennett, Amy Odongo, Fabian Elias, Tully Sumner, Pablo Andres Vargas Pedroza and Mitchell Wynne.
Ad Hoc String Quartet are performing on Monday 29th May at 7.30 pm Carlton Courthouse as a part of the ‘Musica’ Concert Series.
In keeping with the focus of ‘Musica’, the concert will feature new and improvised original works by the ensemble plus a few quartets from the soon to be released “Congratulations” album by the Ad Hoc Collective.

Ad Hoc Music Collective spent two glorious days in September at the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Salon recording 8 tracks for a new CD of original compositions by Andrea to be released next year in 2017. The amazing vocals of Dan Witton were then recorded in November at Head Gap Studios.

– Kylie Morrigan, Jason Bunn, Rosie Westbrook, Helen Mountfort, Ronny Ferella and Dan Witton as well as Lachlan Carrick (superb Sound Engineer) and Paul Ericsson (a master in photography).

AD HOC MUSIC COLLECTIVE is involved in a new workshop project this year. It’s called “Paint What You Hear” and it’s on at ArtPlay, Birrarung Marr over three dates in the school holidays in 2012 – 4 April, 4 July & 3 October.
All workshops pitched at 5-8 year olds are from 11am-1pm.
A special Concert featuring AD HOC MUSIC COLLECTIVE will be held on Saturday 6th October at 2 pm to showcase the amazing results of these workshops.
